The Battery is situated in Old Portsmouth and has a rich historical background dating back to the early 1600’s. It consists of a series of arches, backing onto the south coast that overlook a open square. A circular fort holds their angle together. It is currently being re-developed into artist studios and café’s however this has received many complaints and may not go ahead.
